Comments Thread For: Wilder Weighs In Even Lower Than For Ortiz Fight; Fury 256.5

LOS ANGELES The always-slim champion and the once-obese challenger both got on the scale Friday at lighter weights than they were for their respective previous bouts. Deontay Wilder weighed in Friday at 212 pounds for his WBC heavyweight title defense against Tyson Fury on Saturday night at Staples Center. The 6-feet-7 Wilder was two pounds lighter than he was when he weighed in for his 10th-round stoppage of Luis Ortiz on March 3 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (214).

    Damn!

Got to be putting Deontay on pound for pound lists if he takes out Tyson.

not sure what to make of either of those weights ?

I would guess that Wilder is in great shape, and Fury is in very good shape..... for him, considering.....

props to both guys..... may the best man win !

May the better man win, Fury might win then we don’t have to see AJ Wilder battle it out.

We just hope if Fury wins he would not go back to his demons but actually defend his wbc belt.

HW needs a true champ, an undisputed champ, may the best man win but this fight by no means make the winner the top dawg in HW except they fight current king AJ.

Wilder wasting away. I think he must be on hunger strike.

The problem is that you don’t use training camps to “Jenny Craig” your way into shape and losing weight. Training camps are to shed a few pounds while honing your skills preparing for your opponent. Training camps aren’t fat camps

Wilder is going for speed and will be going back foot. He's gona try and keep distance.

This is gona be a chess match. Fury actually does worse against lighter, quicker guys so it might work to his advantage?

If they tie-up and Fury gets close he will ragdoll Wilder.

                  Interesting fight this.
