  • Comments Thread For: Fury Promises To Rain Down 'Mayweather Defense' on Wilder

Tyson Fury is not worried about the feared punching power of Deontay Wilder - because the 'Gypsy King' believes Wilder is not capable of landing his big shots. Fury will challenge Wilder for the WBC heavyweight crown in the main event of a Showtime Pay-Per-View card on December 1 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Even Floyd got hit. Nobody goes a fight without getting hit.

Yup, Fury isn't as elusive as he used to be, he's nowhere near elusive enough to go 12 without getting hit, and he doesn't have the offensive tools to stop wilder so i only see this going 1 way

Everyone gets jabbed, certainly. But I think Fury can evade windmills. The question is whether he gets caught with the straight right that sets up the windmills.

The Mayweather shoulder roll is great for defending against head hunters, not as good for hooks to the body. Wilder does tend to head hunt, so could do with learning a few new tricks - quick hooks to the body then out again before he gets stuck in a Fury bear hug. I've never seen Wilder try anything other than his usual tried and tested approach though, so we'll see....

Wilder can't even hit the pads, let alone an elusive target like Fury.

People seem to be confusing Tyson with all the other puddings that Wilder has knocked out. The only fighter who moved against Wilder was the polish midget, and he was giving Wilder lots of problems before getting over confident.
