Yes, except we just had Canelo pop for clenbuterol then fight GGG for the lineal.

PED use has nothing to do with the lineal, unfortunately.

Wilder-Fury is for the Lineal Heavyweight Championship. Deal with it.

        Yeah, I laughed.

        But, you are 100% correct.

It's amazing how folks who are supposed to know better are so willing to ignore historical precedent simply because they like one boxer and dislike another.

There is no way you can call yourself a real boxing aficionado and yet not understand why Dec. 1 HAS TO BE a lineal fight.

It really isn't debateable given boxing's history, with an example we just saw with the Canelo rematch.

Mayweather officially retired. You are literally talking to the Einstein of boxing and it's history buddy.

Its tricky, TBRB and The Ring have different views on lineal. They have some spots vacant that the other has as champion. I think cbz was the best in keeping track but i dont know if they update that much anymore but this is their HW linage.

Even they have Tyson Fury listed as not lineal anymore. Tyson Fury-2015-2015, stripped, retired

Its rare you see someone who is said to be "Lineal" not listed in any of the rankings most people look when checking Lineal status(Ring,TBRB,CBZ).

And, if AJ and Wilder had fought back in September, they could have made an argument for THAT being lineal (although as a purist I would have still wanted to see the winner fight Fury).

History backs a lineal champion who has not lost his title in the ring, does so over and over and over again.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you...
It's not lineal. The record books won't show it as lineal. Maybe you and the other idiots should make your own record book/site etc for your alternative reality.

Won't be in the record books. Only in your world. Deal with it.

He's not lineal that's why. People are trying to rewrite history and the rules to accommodate him.

Oh, I am pretty sure someone will figure it out even if you can't.

Fury's claim is valid, no dis*****g it.

                    He is still the lineal.

And again, even if he wasn't the lineal, the fight Dec 1 should absolutely be for the lineal.

Folks forget that the lineal isn't necessarily about naming the best in a division.

It's simply about who beat who beat who.

Fury beat the lineal to become the lineal.

He has not retired and he has not lost in the ring.

He was stripped of belts and suspended...the same way Canelo was stripped and suspended.

Canelo just fought and won a lineal a few months ago based on the fact he was the last lineal and that he was fighting a guy who was both a champion and another top ranked guy in his division.

That is the same thing happening Dec. 1.

In all my years of following boxing, I've never even heard of the "lineal" title being a thing before. It just suddenly became important when Wilder fans realized he was in line to fight for it.
