The Ring and TRBR have nothing to do with lineal.

I don't mean to disparage either organization but citing them as an authority on lineal is citing them as an authority on history to which both orgs will gladly tell you they do not know their ass.

But, even if you don't think Fury is the lineal right now, all you need to fill the lineal title is a box-off between two fighters qualified to claim it or two otherwise top ranked fighters.

Theoretically, a lineal box-off could take place between any two top 10 fighters.

Nobody is bigger on lineal champions than the Ring magazine and they don't consider him the lineal champ and list the heavyweight title as vacant with Fury being the number 8 contender. Revelated who insists Fury is still the lineal champion is a boxing moron. Here is another news flash. Fury is NOT a Gypsy king. He just decided to crown himself the Gypsy king.
