  • Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao, Freddie Roach Have No Deal Yet

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. Manny Pacquiao might reunite with longtime trainer Freddie Roach for his fight against Adrien Broner on January 19 but nothing had been settled as of Tuesday afternoon. Pacquiao said at a news conference to promote the pay-per-view fight Monday in New York that Roach would work with him in a supervisory role after fighting without Roach in his corner in his last fight, a knockout of Lucas Matthysse.

That's a damn shame. Manny still holding Roach responsible for that loss.

All he said was (A) Manny lost to the Hornet (which is factually true) and (B) he hadn't been paid for working the corner (which according to Arum was true at the time).

Sounds like Manny was just upset at the loss rather than the interviews.

I don't agree with (A)! I was with Teddy Atlas on that one! If (B) is true, then that's some bull***t, and Freddy had a right to be mad! Manny should pick up the phone, and he should've done that before making the comments about roach being on the team!

It's been said for years that Roach should still train fighters but have someone else holding the mitts or wearing the body punching suit. Look at Cus when he trained Tyson

This isnt the whole article either, Manny said he was worried about Roach's health and felt like he had to hold back in training with him getting up there in age and his disease not getting any better. & That he didn't know how to tell him without hurting his feelings

F Roach dude a two face snake look how he did Marlon STarling left that man hanging when he needed him most now Starling works labor jobs

Roach was talking **** about Pacman, he lied too Arum said Roach was talking **** about Manny not paying because Pacman said I wasn't paid yet either and that Arum takes care of Roaches check

roach has no confidence in Manny when a trainer doesn't believe in you anymore its time to move on, Roach hasn't been a good trainer in ages,

Pac looked more energetic in the Lucas fight and his stamina was on point.
