  • Comments Thread For: Kavaliauskas: I'm Ready To Fight Terence Crawford Next!

Egidijus "The Mean Machine" Kavaliauskas wanted to show the world that he deserves a crack at a welterweight world title. The statement was emphatic, as Kavaliauskas blew out the previously unbeaten Roberto Arriaza (17-1, 13 KOs) in three rounds to retain the NABF title and pick up the WBO Inter-Continental Belt.

Far from it, and I'll take your bait.

Kav is literally a nobody on the International stage, Crawford on the other hand is arguably the P4P best boxer on the planet. He should now be challenging the best in the division, not upcoming prospects. That's my point.

Thurman, Porter, and Spence all have in house PBC fights lined up. Who should Crawford have fought to stop you from complaining?

The fact of the matter is he shouldn't have re-signed his Top Rank contract.

So he should have taken less money because PBC only wants to make in house fights? I'm not going to support a monopoly attempt by PBC at welterweight nor do I think a fighter should be strong armed into joining them.

Then he will deal with the consequences taking the money route. I don't blame him either, he already has his legacy at 140, if he doesn't fight the best at 147, fine, just don't complain when people don't rank his wins at welter 10 years from now
