Dmitry Bivol could've accepted more lucrative offers from competitors once HBO's executives revealed late in September that the network would stop televising boxing in 2019. The unbeaten WBA light heavyweight champion appreciated the network's previous commitments to him, though. It also was the hard-hitting Bivol's longtime dream to headline an HBO "World Championship Boxing" show.

Loyalty to a group that is abandoning boxing.
Sounds like the kind of logic a boxer would have.

Call it Loyalty I call it F#cking ******! Especially when you have DAZN throwing around BIG MONEY right now. A Fighter like Bivol should really be cashing in on that instead of wasting time with HBO for Less Money

The offers from other networks/promoters will still be there for Bivol If he beats Pascal ( and he Should ). I dont think its a bad move to have another fight on HBO . Taking less money to have more people tuning in seems to be how team Bivol is looking at the situation .

Right. I'd take HBO exposure while it's still there before DAZN for right now.

                Spot on!

HBO exposure is great for him while he is building up his name in the states. Everyone else will still be there Jan 1st.

Besides, HBO had first dibs on him anyway.
