  • Comments Thread For: Badou Jack Expects To Return To Action on January 12 or 19

Badou Jack "The Ripper" was interviewed by Swedish news agency TT recently and said that his next fight will be either January 12 or January 19. It will be a non-title fight against an opponent to be announced. Jack also said he would be facing the winner of Adonis Stevenson and Oleksandr Gvozdyk most likely in May 2019. Stevenson and Gvozdyk battle for the WBC light heavyweight title next month in Canada.

Was Badou Jack injured in the Stevenson fight? Hopefully he fights someone else who's floating around the mix for a title shot and not some no-hoper.

Pac supposedly fighting on the 19th. Anyone at 175 Jack could fight on the undercard?

So Jan 12 is probably the Mares-Davis fight.
        Jan 19 Pac-Broner.

Jack's a damn good fighter but sadly he waited a little too long to get the engine going against Stevenson. Hope he does face the winner of Stevenson-Gvozdyk.

Makes sense to pair him with another Mayweather Promotions fighter since they will be the lead promoter for the event.

The question is who does he fight?

Been a few fights like that for him, but he had to be careful of Stevenson's power early on or else it could have been lights out for him. Really what killed him was Stevenson some how staying on his feet late. IIRC, the ropes helped Stevenson and ultimately salvaged a draw for him.

Fight Chilemba, that would be a good, competitive fight to get him ready for Stevenson/Gvozdyk

Dude just got arrested for the third time for domestic violence recently. You sure he is fighting anytime soon?
