Unbeaten Puerto Rican puncher Alberto "El Explosivo" Machado is looking for bigger things after retaining his "regular" super featherweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA). Machado - with a record of 21-0 and 17 knockouts - retained his belt with a crushing first round knockout over Yuandale Evans (20-2, 14 KO's) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

He has a very big body frame for 130. I can see him fighting at welterweight easily.

I think it's Floyd not Tank. & Machado is just a little bit too green anyways, needs to work on his defense but then again he's being trained by Freddie who's idea of defense is a good offense. I'd advise any one being trained by Freddie to have a 2nd trainer teach you defense. Just like how Bud has his two trainers

I can see that as well. But I don't think he should go past 147. That's always been the hottest division. No money fights at 154.

If Machado only has one or two fights left at 130 then why is he trying to fight Francisco Vargas instead of the other Champions?
You have Berchelt, Davis, Farmer, and Ito available. All better than a Francisco Vargas fight.
