Daniel Jacobs meets Sergiy Derevyanchenko inside the Theater at Madison Square Garden, with the winner taking the IBF's vacant version of the 160-pound title. There's been a flurry of changes within the division lately, with Alvarez owning half of the four major titles after edging longtime champion Golovkin last month in their rematch. Demetrius Andrade won the other belt last week, and Jacobs (34-2, 29 KOs) can put his name on the list of champions.

I agree. I like Golovkin. Thought he won both Canelo fights. But I believe he lost the Jacobs fight. The look on his face right after the fight showed nervousness. He looked very relieved when the decision was read.

oh no! eddie has left the EE fanboy/gggroupies in a pickle again!!!!

what does this all mean?!?!?! do they stick by their boxing idol/hero the great all time great MW who has no signature wins?!?!? or do they stand by their lord and savior of UK boxing! the man who successfully has protected their beloved AJ from the bronze bomber?!?!?!

Lol everyone knows Jacobs didn't do nearly enough to win...he was the clear challenger, got dropped, got outlanded in 9/12 rounds. Never hurt GGG but was hurt himself a few times. Anyone even saying this fight was remotely close is just a pure GGG hater and troll. Eddie is just promoting his guy though, he's not dumb enough to actually believe this...

First time I saw it I had Jacobs winning. On rewatching I had it 6-6 with GGG winning thanks to the knockdown. Definitely warrants a rematch

jacobs is an eddie guy so naturally hes the one that gave golovkin the fight of his life and not canelo! lol.....notice the golovkin fans "im a golovkin fan and i agree...but i thought he beat canelo twice"

only a hearn fighter could get a W over golovkin the eyes of the UK superfans/gggroupie crowd

Only fight that was relatively close was the GGG Canelo 2 and that was still a pretty clear win for GGG...just hard to wins rounds against GGG, he is always scoring with the jab. That one was still probably 8-4 for GGG, plus/minus a round
