http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.ph...=Fight:1093332Originally posted by BoxrecIt was a very controversial decision, denounced by ESPN's Teddy Atlas, and booed by Urango's hometown fans. Announced blows were Ben Rabah 163/515 32%; Urango 106/635 17%.
Scores:
116-112 | 115-113 | 117-111
I havent seen it but if its really as close as the stats show that shows there is something seriously wrong with the way judges see something. -
Anyone else see this fight? I don't think I've ever seen a worse decision in my life. Pretty unfair to Rabah. And the really odd thing was how Urango raised his arms and screams after the final bell rang. Odd because he was embarrassed practically the entire fight unable to land much of anything. Why would he even pretend he thought he won? And then he again is raising his arms and cheering as the scores are being read as if to influence the judges at that point!? I didn't understand it. Then they announce the decision for him! It was crazy. Something's not right with the whole situation.
I did the round by round of the entire fight here:

It was actually a very boring fight after the first few rounds. Same thing practically every round. Rabah dodges and blocks almost every punch Urango throws and lands a bunch of jabs and occassional power punch or 2. Urango was never hurt, just frustrated.Originally posted by Lizard KingId like to download this fight before I have to go to work tomorrow night.Comment

teddy atlas scorecard was 117-111 for rabah w/ urango winning the final 2 rounds.Originally posted by moochihow did you score the fight?
i agree with his score 100 percent. for one of the the judges to score it 117-111 for urango is beyond insane. basically teddy saying rabah wins 9 rounds to 3 and a judge saying urango wins 9 rounds to 3. no way urango won 5 rounds, much less 9. this is just so blatantly terrible i have to believe something will come of it.Comment

i was saying before that ben rabah is a perfect candidate for a robbery because he is a foreigner with no real backing........poor kid has sacrificed so much over the years for this opportunity and now his career is over.........nobody remembers robbery victims!!Originally posted by rocketpuncher118-110 for RabahComment

excellent point moochi. Boxing is a tough sport, not just physically. Your whole life is devoted to it and something like this can really derail you.Originally posted by moochipoor kid has sacrificed so much over the years for this opportunity and now his career is over.........nobody remembers robbery victims!!Comment
