Comments Thread For: Canelo-Fielding: No Rematch Clause in Contracts, Says Hearn

NEW YORK Eddie Hearn isn't insulted nor surprised that Canelo Alvarez's handlers didn't request a rematch clause during negotiations for the Alvarez-Rocky Fielding fight. "I just think that two things one, they expect to win," Hearn, Fielding's promoter, told BoxingScene.com following a press conference Wednesday in The Theater at Madison Square Garden. "Two is if they lose, they'll probably move back to middleweight and defend the belts there. And three, Rocky Fielding is a world champion. So it's not something, really, that you naturally ask for."

I don't believe him. I think CANELO has a rematch clause but this guy FIELDING doesn't.

No need if Canelo doesn't win then he go back to 160, hell if he win he go back to 160

It’s a no brainer. The dude is big and slow. Canelo can EASILY out box this no experienced young man. I believe he’ll KO him though especially with a guarantee “weakness clause”.

No need for a rematch after Fielding knocks out red cheat.

Hahahaha!!! Poor Hearny, trying to spin gold out of straw. I've noticed that he can't keep CANELO!!!, GOLDEN BOY!!! and OSCAR DE LA HOYA!!! out of his mouth, but they don't seem to ever mention him. Looks like he's gone from TAKING OVER AMERICA to being a salesman for DAZN. I hope he's getting a commission!

U can forget CANELO moving back to 160 especially if he has to deal with CHARLO. He's the real reason CANELO jumped to 168. Smarten up.

waste of time just a quick money grab. he doesn't even want to deal with making weight so hes fighting at 168 for an interim belt against a guy who was ko'd by the real champ in 1 round. luckily this will pass in less than 2 months never to be mentioned again
