Comments Thread For: Canelo To Mayweather: Stop Hurting Boxing - Fight Me!

Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez is not a big fan of the potential fight that Floyd Mayweather is attempting to pitch. Mayweather has been discussing the idea of a comeback, to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov - after he was recently challenged by the UFC lightweight champion.

Floyd won’t fight, unless it’s a POV, and he controls the terms. This new deal he’s involved in with hern will make that rematch tough to make.

SO it’s guaranteed Canelo is going to win his next fight. He just signed 11 fight Contact for $365 million, he WONT lose. So what is the point of watching that fight.

Mayweather would never step in the ring with Canelo at this point of Canelo's career and I dont blame him. Canelo is no longer the inexperienced kid he once fought.

Canelo won't come in 22 year old, 152lb skeleton.

This is prime, experienced, middleweight Canelo.

Mayweather would be better off fighting Habib or whatever from the UFC. Easy few million to keep him afloat for another 3 years before he needs cash again.

So, I take it DAZN has already agreed to pay Floyd over $100 million? Mayweather will only fight for nine figure paydays. And DAZN and Canelo aren’t doing any ppvs.
