Wonder why Welborn gave up the belt? I'm pretty sure he hadn't won 3 defences yet to have it for keeps.

Interesting one this.Hopefully Commonwealth champ Liam Cameron steps up to the plate! If not then maybe Tommy Langford Elliot Mattrews or Reese Cartwright could rise to the challenge!!..

I didn't watch his 2 fights with Langford this year but two split decisions and he won both contests by a single point, first one was the BBBoC fight of the year.

Seeing it was his 3rd attempt at the British and he's now 32.... maybe he's giving it up? achieved his level and won the British title and now realises Heffron will dismantle him.

As far as I know Cameron is still unable to box due to an adverse finding in a drugs test after his fight with Nicky Jenmann. He has also been stripped of his Commonwealth title due to this.
I think Reece Cartwright is most likely the opponent tbh, cause from what I’ve heard Elliot Mathews is in line to challenge for the vacant Commonwealth title.

Thank's for that info Mate. Hopefully a non UK fighter get's matched with Matthews for the Commonwealth title.Canada's Steve Rolls against Elliot would be nice to see.

Originally he was scheduled to fight that Rasheed Abolaji who Sheedy beat for the title. But that fight fell apart for whatever reason. I think Cameron’s team are going to appeal his suspension/ being stripped, pretty sure they’re in the process of doing so now.
