Comments Thread For: Lemieux Hopes To Return in December, Fight Canelo in 2019

Coming off his first round destruction of Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan on September 15th, former IBF middleweight titlist David Lemieux was hoping that he would be facing unified middleweight champion, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who last week decided to face WBA 'regular' super middleweight belt-holder Rocky Fielding on December 15th at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

This no hoper has no upside whatsoever for any cashcow to fight. What incentive would Canelo have in fighting Gggs/BlowJōbSaunders leftovers?

He'd get no credit,& nobody would want to watch that fight,& hed be risking fanbois saying he looked worse than when Saunders schooled him. Top it off gbp will drop lemule if hes kod/destroyed yet again.

Lemule needs to accept that hes a washed up never has been whos only suited to beat up bare knuckle ***** amatuers like O'Sullivan,& he'll never get another title shot.

Canelo would make Lemieux look every bit as limited as Saunders did. The French-Canadian may well be the biggest puncher in the division, but the faster/smarter guys see his shots coming a mile off.

Lemieuxs got less reach then a short haired Chihuahua. Canelo will snipe him in and out.

I think Canelo is just gonna give him some STFUmoney... This fight does nothing for Canelos legacy, why fight gggs left overs when he’s got much bigger fish to fry?

Dude has a draw and a majority-decision win over GGG, and most people believe GGG won both fights. Not sure what more would justify a trilogy than that.

GGG destroyed Lemieux - the fight is a waste of time. Lemieux's only weapon is his power and Canelo's chin is out of this world.

The GGG trilogy is really the only fight that makes sense for May.

Yeah no WAY Lemuix TKO's Canelo. I doubt he even get one solid hit on Canelo hes that slow and telepaths all his power punches.

I'd rather see winner of Danny and Sergiy in May.

September could be a trilogy if Gennady gets through his next fight although hes apparently not going to fight Charlo. Kind of lame tbh
