Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford: It Feels So Good To Shut Jose Benavidez Up

Crawford, a three-division champion who was making his first defense of his WBO welterweight belt, stuck out his tongue at his fallen opponent at the conclusion of what amounted to a personal grudge match.

Benavidez had a good game plan but didn't stick to it! Bud Crawford is methodical and patient. He wears you down like white on rice.

Early on Crawford gave Benavidez a taste of his power. Bud landed to the body in the 2nd rd and made Benavidez take a step back and shake his head.

He did that several times in the fight. Bud picked up the pace in the third round, repeatedly landing combinations to the head and body and again forcing Benavidez to take a step back. All those punches would take its toll in the later rounds.

Benavidez began tiring in the 7th rd after taking body shot after body shot from Crawford, who started out in an orthodox stance but switched often to southpaw.

Watch Bud fight gives meaning to the term "The Sweet Science!"

Benavidez couldn't do what he wanted to do because Crawford would not allow him. It was a great fight, Benavidez is a tough customer but Crawford is on a different level.

            Good job.

Crawford -Thurman is the fight we should get.

Crawford outboxes spence, but if Spence lands, Crawford is in trouble.

Porter is awkward, hard to call..

Anyway, we have to see Crawford against better fighters to get the picture.

Is that all you do in life knock another mans achievements?

What weight are you? Why don't you jump into the pro ranks? You certainly talk a good game. Step up.

Crawford is like Mayweather, if he had a nasty streak and was offensive.
