Comments Thread For: Crawford: Benavidez Is Underestimating My Size & My Power

OMAHA, Nebraska Terence Crawford has heard all this before. Just four months ago, in fact. Jeff Horn's size and strength advantages were supposedly factors Crawford would need to combat during his first welterweight fight. Crawford proceeded to nullify the taller, heavier Horn's supposed strengths almost immediately and dominated the previously unbeaten Australian on his way to a ninth-round, technical-knockout victory June 9 in Las Vegas. At 6 feet even, Jose Benavidez Jr. is about three inches taller than Horn, four inches bigger than the 5-feet-8 Crawford.

I don't think anyone realizes how good, strong and smart Crawford is, I think Benavidez will get a wake up call come Saturday night.

Let the hatred begin. Can't wait to see Crawford knocking this guy out. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Crawford is a complete package.

I really like Crawford a lot but I hope this is a tough fight and they trade knock downs. It would have the makings of a good rivalry.

Just watched Herrera vs Benavidez. The guy is a C level fighter and Crawford will pummel him all night. He may even come out in the orthodox stance because Jose offers ZERO threat other than decent punching power

Wasn't Benavidez like 22 & Arum's favorite prospect at the time??

I like when the fight has more of a "it's personal" feel to it. A fight like this needs it because it seems to be a mismatch on paper.
