Empty arenas so far for DAZN. Where's the "Sweet Caroline" atmosphere?

Depends on the terms of his deal. If he gets the eight years, for sure.
He really does need that A-1 signing. A Canelo or something. If he can do that, that buys him time. Having an A-side guarantees him a couple good fights on DAZN and allows his prospects to develop. It's an uphill battle and it appears he sold the investor on his ability to land the big names. No matter what he says about Saturday's show, this is not what he expected nor what he hoped for,Comment

That Nkosi dude must feel like ass right now. He was the US Champ in '17 or '16 iirc. Being a notable amateur dude & losing your pro debut is some got you thinking about suicide type sh^t.
But nah I don't think Hearn put that much thought, research or scouting into these amateur guys he picked up. Hell I think he picked up that MMA dude off of his viral video from 5 or so years back cuz last I heard that dude was losing decisions in the NY Golden Gloves & not really setting the amateur world on fire or anything.
That Pacheco dude seems like an interesting pickup, but when I looked up his amateur results he had a ~75% or so win % in the last couple years in big events which doesn't suggest super stardom when most of his fights were non-open division fights. He's for sure a project pickup that they are gonna need to ease into the pro game.Comment

Hearn needs to hire me as his audience liaison. I got this figured out. First Sweet Caroline is catchy but its corny. US people don't embrace corny sh^t like UK people. Thats just a cultural device Hearn don't get.
I can tell you right now you give me the House Of Pain Jump Around song, about a dozen sexy, bigger titty girls to bounce around the arena & I'll have you your Sweet Caroline of America audience participation type moment inside of 3 events.
Might need to hire some buff dudes with the females & gay dudes in the audience. Might have to tweak some other sh^t here & there. Don't want no t^tties popping out during the jumping around. But that base right there would get fans hyped & enjoying themselves more.
Call me Hearn. We can figure this out.Comment

I still back eddie. He’s signed a few interesting prospects for the future and by the end of the year he could have two middleweight champions. Not to mention the very real potential of Canelo fighting fielding on DAZN too.Comment

There’s an element of that culture too it. I’m from the U.K. but I recently went to an nfl game in America and outside the stadium is just a massive piss up. If Hearn can connect with those sort of fans like he did in the U.K. he might be on to something but it will take time.Comment

I don’t know why Eddie went over there. He’s taking a shot but is there such thing as a casual American boxing fan in the same sort of numbers that we have here?
The boxing is incidental. Over here people go to the boxing in their finery, drink, and go out afterwards.
That would probably only work over there with Irish fightersComment

That dude is an unentertaining troll. Had him on ignore for awhile.
All you gotta do is click on someone's name & the bottom option is adding someone to your ignore list.Comment

I think there is. They just might be spread out more, bigger land mass over here lower population density & all that, + it would seem like we got higher prices for the seat you are getting based on what I'm seeing, but not 100% on that. But I know some basic fights people sh^t on here got $500-$1000 ring side seats. So you gotta do a lil extra to get there attention then in the UK.
I think one of the best things Hearn does is quality matchmaking & thats something few are doing that well here from the bottom to the top of the card. I see Bob has upped his game a lil bit lately with this ESPN deal & got a couple of his guys beat or "overly tested" lets call it lol. But if Hearn can do that here I think he can garner a nice lil base on that alone not to mention some new sh^t he can potentially bring to the US market that no one else is attempting as it goes with the overall atmosphere being discussed here.Comment
