Comments Thread For: WBSS In Glasgow: Kieran Smith, Tiffney & McGurk Added

Kieran Smith will join two other Scottish fighters on what is arguably the biggest stage of their careers to date. The trio the others being Michael McGurk and Stephen Tiffney have been confirmed to be appearing on the undercard of a world title doubleheader. Smith, 25, was last in action in Glasgow in August, alongside Tiffney, while undefeated McGurk will break a 12-month hiatus on his return.

Never heard of these guys, but will be watching them anyway as I'm looking forward to the Burnett and Taylor fights at the top of the card. Savannah Marshall's a decent boxer to watch as well, but her progression needs to be a bit quicker. The other female Olympians that turned pro in last few years have been flying up the ranks in comparison.

Don't care about these guys but this card already has 2 big co-main events worth the price alone.

Got reminded that Pulev/Fury is later this month on channel 5..... That should be an 8pm start time in the UK on free TV, should do good numbers that.

Shame the excellent Lee McGregor isn't on the card like we've been used to with Taylor fights, and no Martin Bakole either unless they just haven't been mentioned. Still a good looking evening all the same.
