Yildirim’s promoter Ahmet Oner gave a convincing speech about his fighter’s activity and his position in WBC.

100% Ahmet Öner and Al Haymon brought a bag of money to the WBC convention to get this done.

Quick question: is it how it works at these sanctioning bodies convention, promoters plead their cases verbally to the WBC?

Must be one of the worst vacant title fights since Martin v Glazkov.

Anthony Dirrell has done nothing of note for years since beating fringe contender Bika after drawing with him

Yildirim got folded like a chair by Eubank Jr.

Pretty much, so the ones with the deepest pockets gets what they want basically. They basically plead their fighters cases, fight for eliminations, fights over other ranked fighters in their divisions, fights for regional belts etc But to be honest that doesn't really count if your promoter or manager is quite influencial.

                  Exactly.

it's debatable whether Eubank is lower world level, so what does that make Yildirim? It's not even like the fight was competitive at any point. Eubank looked several levels above him for every second.

                    What the fuck???

The dude popped for a recreational drug out of competition. Grounds for a fine, sure, but to strip him? God damn.
