At the WBC convention taking place today there were some interesting announcements made, that could effect the state of every division. While these match-ups may or may not happen, they have been ordered by the WBC to take place for their titles. Here are the following match-ups that were ordered today by the WBC:

Canelo Alvarez is allowed a voluntary defense before facing his mandatory.

Gennady Golovkin vs Jermall Charlo has been ordered to determine Canelo's mandatory.

Gary Russell Jr has been ordered to face Leo Santa Cruz.

Shawn Porter has been ordered to face Keith Thurman.

Jorge Linares has been ordered to face Adrien Broner in an eliminator.

Julian Williams vs Erislandy Lara ordered, with the winner facing Jermell Charlo.

Luke Campbell will become the mandatory to Mikey Garcia, should Garcia beat Richard Commey.

While the above fights aren't set in stone it sure does make for some interesting match-ups if the above fighters decide that they wish to fight for WBC titles, or stay in their respected weight divisions.

interesting news. My guess is seeing this they both go to ESPN to avoid Charlo and fight Murata/Saunders for more money in easier fights.

That would be tragic! I really wanted to see Canelo vs. Charlo!

Canelo/GGG will be fine whether they go to Showtime or ESPN just stay away from DAZN

Canelo should go back to Showtime. They're the ones that built him into a star.

Canelo is the biggest star in boxing and there isn't one sports network who wouldn't want Canelo on their network!
                  That's reality!
Showtime has expressed zero interest in the rest of Oscar's roster, and Alvarez is basically the only fighter generating any money for Golden Boy.

If Alvarez earnestly does pursue the split, locking up his own PPV future with Showtime, while Oscar keeps looking for a home for the rest of his fighters, Oscar's company is ****ed; Alvarez will fight out the rest of his co-promotional deal with Golden Boy and finally cut out the middleman in the US.

Logic says that Oscar likely has enough sense to not kill his company that way, so he's likely still hoping for a package deal for his whole operation with Alvarez as the bait.

That would mean that Alvarez would then be stripped, after his voluntary defense, would it not?

🤣 you were the same moron who was saying Showtime had no interest in Canelo and how did that make you feel?? Lol
You're just a loser who loves to hate on Golden Boy promotions!
So unless you can provide proof that Showtime has no interest in the rest of Golden Boy promotion's stable you're better off just shutting the fucc up or else I'll make you feel ****** all over again!
                      You sorry loser! 😂
