Comments Thread For: Wilder: Fury Must Be Perfect All Night, I Need Just 1 Second!

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) is looking to do as much damage as possible when he faces Tyson Fury (27-0, 19 KOs) in the biggest heavyweight fight of the year. The fight takes place on December 1 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

I can’t argue with pigeon legs in this assessment. He does only need 1 second and the fight is over. Well technically 2 seconds because he needs another second in the rematch

Wilder gotta be careful not to look only for the one punch, when fighters fall in love with their power, it can turn into their downfall

        i agree.

And whatever anybody thinks of Fury, they can't deny he has a pretty good ring IQ and can carry out a game plan. He said before the Wlad fight that Wlad only has a left hook, jab and straight right and if you nullify them, he can't do much else. He wasn't wrong, that's exactly what he did.

if Wilder is only looking for a bit right hand, he might be waiting a while to land it on Fury because he'll be expecting it all night and also Fury isn't going to over commit against a big puncher and risk falling into one. i think Wilder needs to be smart and try to set shots up.

That's if Fury is near his best, of course. i've always liked this fight because i think Fury is the one heavyweight with the capability of nullifying Wilder's best shot.

Fury is difficult to catch up with but I'm awkward too.

Wilder is definitely awkward. I think he looks for that one punch a little too much and it gets him in trouble at times. He better use that jab this fight or he could run into some problems.

Wilder believing his own hype a bit now. It will only take fury 1 second to give you flashbacks to when you was an amatuer getting saved from further punishment by the ref so you could live to fight another day against fury.

Agreed,... most likely Wilder is just "promoting" and realizes he has to "box" to create those KO openings and might possibly have to settle for a points victory - he did a fantastic job against Bermane when Bermane was a serious contender.....Fury is more crafty though and TALLer - and isnt a joke even though he acts like one ....Wilders no dumb dumb either...

Wilder is right, that’s what makes the fight so compelling!

Fury has the ability and skills to neutralize Wilder’s power and school him but Wilder has the hardest punch in boxing, that thunderbolt in his right hand!

To watch Fury try to take away the big right hand and watch Wilder try to land it will be what keeps me on the edge of my seat!

Yep and it’s precisely why he’ll lose. If you come into a fight like that with only a ‘Plan A’ the chances are the opponent knows it too. In this case Fury is gonna be looking out for it all night.
