Comments Thread For: Catterall: Ohara Davies is Tougher Fight Than Maurice Hooker

World-ranked super-lightweight Jack Catterall will not look past Ohara Davies at world champion Maurice Hooker primarily because he sees the Londoner as a harder fight. Chorley's El Gato' (22-0-KO12) takes on Davies (18-1-KO14) at Leicester Arena on October 5 live on BT Sport and despite being favourite to earn a shot at WBO king Hooker, Catterall has a one-track mind.

Nah.... O'Hara Davies would have got handled by Flanagan .

It was a close one but I had Maurice by two In That fight so...catterall has cateracts if he thinks O'Hara is tougher.

O’Hara swallowed it unfortunately he already needs to redeem himself. Rightly or wrongly. He’s a massive question mark

He still doesn't possess the technical ability of a cordina or a Kelly even with larger experience and he doesn't have anywhere near the power of a ritson to offset that lack of experience as an equaliser. He can look forward to a career of winning WBO inter continentals and WBA internationals.. WBC silvers and then. Ever ascending to anything more than a secondary challenger.

Too many holes in his game and absolutely lacking on spirit and willpower when the going gets tough.

Josh Taylor is a fantastic boxer with what seems to be a bright future.. but the tale of the two definitely told a story that they should have been more equally matched when they fought. Taylor absolutely outclassed him and has gone strides in bettering himself since.

O'Hara changed promoter due to his erratic behaviour and matchrooms unwillingness to put up with it anymore and has found himself in the WBO controlled..less popular world of Frank warren. He'll work.his way up **** competition to eventually face a champion who steamrolls the **** out of him .

And he's a right royal knob head

Hooker isn't at all great and in fact shouldn't even be where he is after he fkn lost to Darleys Perez a while back, but he's still a more rounded fighter than Ohara. This should be a good dust up, though, and I expect Jack the Cat to bring it.
