"Sulaiman said that while both mandatory challengers deserve a shot at the title, unification fights, especially of this magnitude, are very important in helping the sport grow."

The worst thing the WBC could do is to block a unification bout with Errol Spence Jr.! Now if Errol decides to fight Mikey Garcia, then Porter vs. Ugas is acceptable!

Probably so I can see that happening.

So this kinda sounds like Porter would have to fight Berto, Ugas AND Thurman before his slate his fully cleared. Obviously he could fight Spence, Manny or Bud in a unification one could assume besides them, but Porter is boxed in badly with this title & his reign is likely to be short based on his options.

I think he's catching L's to Spence, Bud & Thurman & maybe Manny if they aren't doing serious OST testing for the fight. And honestly while I'd greatly favor Porter over Berto & Ugas I think those two are more live dogs than most others might think.

I know I don't want to see Porter and Berto again. Shawn head butted him into submission. I guess i wouldn't mind seeing what Ugas can do since there's a possibility Thurman won't be fighting Shawn next.

If I was porter, which I think he will do. Fight those two bums then lose to either Thurman or Spence then move up. Or Beat the two bums they your can't make weight and up move lol

Likey Berto than Ugas unless they make Berto and Ugas fight because no one wants to see Berto vs Porter again.

Sulaiman has never blocked a big fight before no matter how long a mandatory was due.

Even in this article he basically said that if the unification is requested then he will grant it.

The only question is: "If requested by whom?"

Who must request it, Spence or Porter?

                  Or is it both?

Berto might've knocked out SP if not for the 4 headbutts.
