Comments Thread For: Takam: If Povetkin Starts Slow, He'll Get Slaughtered By Joshua

Carlos Takam knows as much about Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin as any heavyweight. The rugged contender from Cameroon has lost to both boxers, including a 10th-round technical knockout defeat to Joshua on October 28 in Cardiff, Wales. Takam declined to pick a winner when he was interviewed by Sky Sports, but he assessed Povetkin's chances of pulling off an upset Saturday night at Wembley Stadium in London.

I agree. He has to crack him.
AJ doesn't have great stamina but Povetkin will always be behind AK in the stamina dept and it will get worse as the fight goes on. Povetkin has no time to waste. Pressure him and risk gassing or let AJ drain your stamina and have no chance of catching him after that.

Pov gotta apply pressure early, but if he goes for it that plays into AJs hands

Joshua will brutally dismantle povetkin round by round and by the 8th I see Joshua ending it.
Povetkin puts up a tough challenge though.
          WAR AJ

Hopefully he pulls thru.. so we can see the big one.. but if Povetkin ko's AJ then he can get koed by Wilder! It doesn't matter who gets it.

I see Povetkin getting frustrated and deciding to go for it. He will lose it and BOOM! Joshua will KO him
