Comments Thread For: Chocolatito Wants To Take Things Slow, Adapt More To 115

Everything indicates that the relationship between Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and trainer Marcos Caballero will continue for a long time. That union between Chocolatito and Caballero has strengthened after what the boxer displayed in his overwhelming victory against two-division world champion Moises Fuentes, whom he dispatched by way of the knockout in five rounds on September 15 at the T- Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

He might have a second act. Get that confidence back and he could have another great run left in him.

Smart, get acclimated to the weight. Once he's comfortable I'd like to see him possibly take on the bigger names.

I always said that this guy was very good fighter but with a lot of holes in his defense and a soft career

Guy have 50 fights and only 3 élite rivals in Estrada (in 108 pounds) , Cuadras that destroyed his face and Sor Rungivsia that won both fights.

They treated Roman like a god, but in reality he wasn't that great. He was a 4 division champ, but in reality he only went up a total of 10 lbs. As soon as he started fighting guys his own size people be acting as if he's fighting guys bigger than him. If he was as great as people made him out to be, weight wouldn't be an issue. There's plenty of fighters who went up more in weight and dominated bigger guys. I guess Karma caught up to Chocolatito as soon as he started to become some diva asking more millions of dollars to rematch certain fighters.
