I saw two guys acting out a scripted dance that some called a fight. I had to wonder if the fix truly were in -- GGG failing to pull the trigger, and Canelo acting as if he'd have a spastic bowel movement at any moment. Honestly, it was so bad that my opinion of both fighters plummeted and has yet to change (for example, I cannot in any manner begin to rank either one of the two with any of the greats of the 20th century). We'll see tonight, but I'm not holding my breath. My greatest surprise would be a memorable fight. My honest expectation is some outrageous development that spoils the fight and yields nothing but controversy -- putting us right back to where we were at the conclusion of the 2017 fight.
Check out Duran vs Leonard I for a fight that both boxers fought to win. I wish that GGG and Canelo both were made to repeatedly watch it this past year.
