I would disagree with most of Garcia’a activity happened in the same round. I think Porter just threw more punches in most of the rounds throughout the fight that swayed the judges perception. The judges may count punches, but they also take into consideration aggression, control of the ring, control of the tempo of the fight and damage inflicted. Porter was more agressive, controlled the ring, and controlled the tempo thus swayed the judges.

I felt like Danny did most of his damage in the first 5 rounds after that he seemed to have faded. He tried to fight in spurts but Oorter wouldn’t let him rest. Time for him to find another trainer and let his dad take a back seat.

I would like to tip my hat and congratulate Shawn Porter on such gutsy victory tonight and also Danny Garcia for his gracious and spirited effort in defeat. Swift definitely earned my respect with his performance tonight.

Also, there were no losers in this bout. I mean the bout could have been a draw or gone either way.

I know the judges gave it to Porter but in my judgement, both fighters left that ring champions. Overall, it was a good fight and a good night for the sport of boxing.

I think it was close, but not so close it was hard to pick a winnner.

You crazy nothing like this fight. In the GGG fight Golvokin landed the harder punches and had Canelo backpedaling every round.
I’m this fight it was Garcia landing the harder punches bur they only came every so often.
You will see it next week again Clenelo on his bike every round. Hopefully GGG worked cardio and packed his running sneakers

It's ok we understand your blinded by your hero!! I like both boxers and in another fight GGG or Canelo against whoever.
But I bet 10 to 1 Canelo takes GGG this time

I was at the fight. First glance my gut told me porter won but I thought Danny would win it on the judges scorecards. I’m glad porter won though it was an entertaining fight.

What fight were you watching, Garcia didn't land much all fight, how you going to score him winning the fight when he barely threw a punch.

Yeah, but Porter did back up a lot. So it looked like Danny was the aggressor. Porter did land more punches, so although he backed up, he scored more and won the fight.

But Danny did push the action. He was ineffective, but moved forward.

I had no problem either way. It was a close fight.

It definitely looks that way. The 147lb just may have proven to be too deep of a division for Danny Garcia with likes of Porter, Thurman, Spence and Crawford.

It could've reasonably been just 7-5 either way or a draw. Either way, Danny didn't lose much clout in the division and we all know it's coming down to Spence vs Crawford anyway. So let's get Spence vs porter and garcia vs Crawford as the build up to the only ppv in boxing that is clearly between the top 2 fighters in the division.

You know damn well ain't nobody wanna pay for those fights!!!

The 147 and 54 is such a toss up, because there are no greats in either divisions!!! Ever since Floyd and PAC are done.

I thought Porter won but it really could've gone either way. Like I've been saying Garcia doesn't handle pressure well. Whever Porter pressed he was winning. Garcia landed cleaner shots but Porter also landed some clean shots and some ugly ones too. It's going to be a good fight between Porter and Spence.
