He's a step up...idk how massive a step it really is doe. DDD is super young, esp for a HW, at 21 still (yesterday was his birthday in fact), so they've been taking a nice slow & steady pace with him thus far & Kevin seems like a reasonable step in that trajectory.

At this point of Johnson's career he's just another journeymen, just one with a name people recognise. I don't expect him to put up much resistance. He might be wily enough to take DD a few rounds but he won't do much more than that.

I dont pay money to see somebody punch up a Punching Bag, this is a big con, fight somebody who is dangerous is this what people pay to see

Who's arguing against that? Not me.

I think boxing as a whole needs to be more competitively matched from debuting pros all the way to the top P4P guys.

I'm just saying with how boxing works they are moving DDD with a nice steady trajectory vs how some guys are moved & obviously time is on their side.

Make no mistake DDD is a product just like Joshua was & they will move him with the least risk possible while building him up & increasing his profile gradually with better guys. This time next year DDD might be fighting a top 30-ish type guy, but no promoter nowadays is risking a potential money maker like DDD this soon along his journey lets be real. Not a con, just a business of boxing thing like it or not.

Glad he’s in good shape. I don’t see him winning (but I thought the same with Tony Thompson vs Price) but I think he might make things very awkward for Dubois. The kind of fight where people could write the young kid off, but he’ll hopefully learn and improve.

              Excellent matchmaking

The kids 21 yrs old barely above English level in terms of opposition and Johnson has been mixing world level guys within the last few years. He’s going to do everything better than all of Dubois’ opponents so far. He’ll read punches better, react better, his own punches will be tighter, more accurate.

Ay yo who is this Croatian kid who TKO’d Johnson this year before he fought Andy Ruiz?

Petar Milas is the name. 12-0(9kos) just 23 yrs old. He any good? NEETzsche is he known from the Am circuit?

This is definitely a step up for Dubois. I do expect him to win doe. If he isn't chinny then by the time he is 24 years old he should be a force in this HW division.
