    During the most recent edition of The Fight Game, HBO broadcast analyst Jim Lampley discussed the upcoming rematch between Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin. Canelo vs. Golovkin takes place on September 15th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

          Respect to Jim in his long boxing career, but I cringe at virtually everything Jim says these days. Always sounds sorta lame & corny coming out of his mouth.

              Lampley says, "It’s the fight of a lifetime for two of the most accomplished fighters of our lifetimes." Let's correct that: It could be a great fight if they both choose to fight; however, there were so many truly great fights over the last half century that GGG and Canelo will have to have their career peak performances to even come close to the level of pugilistic preeminence provided by their boxing predecessors over the last 50 years. What's sad is that they don't even care.
