Comments Thread For: Garcia Won't Be Surprised If He Becomes First to KO Porter

Shawn Porter's chin has been one of his greatest assets during his run as one of boxing's best welterweights. The two losses on his record are a majority-decision defeat to Kell Brook and a close unanimous-decision loss to Keith Thurman. Danny Garcia still is confident he can become the first opponent to knock out Porter a week from Saturday night.

Porter will get caught straight right or left hook jumping on Garcia.

Nah. Not happening. You need more than one punch to put Porter lights out, if that's possible. Danny won't be throwing enough punches.

Maybe I am the only one, but I think his squared off haircut looks dumb as hell.

I would also like to see one interview where he didn't use the phrase "at the end of the day" or "it is what it is".! I honestly don't think he is that bright.

He has an 80% chance. Porter's head first type of assault could make himself prone to uppercuts or hooks if timed properly. Porter got dropped by Boner with a flash hook so how much more if he gets caught with a full force punch.

Danny hits that hook with accuracy so i wont be surprised if he gets the ko

I’m not sure why fighters lie when you can research everything. Danny said he “knocked out a lot of fighters for the FIRST TIME.” But looking at his professional record the only fighter Danny has gotten out of there that have never been stopped before he faced them was Rod Salka.

Rios (Bradley) Vargas (Spence), Malignaggi (Porter), Morales (PAC), Khan (Prescott) were all knocked out before they fought Danny. WTF is Danny talking about Salka???

It should be a competitive, and probably ugly, kind of fight.
Porter is rugged, but it wouldn't be too surprising if Garcia
can manage to drop him and force a stoppage.
Garcia can be a good matador against aggressive yet basic
opponents, but Porter is so awkward and scrappy that
                    almost anything can happen.
Is Garcia strong enough to handle Porter in a rough fight?
Is Porter starting to get old from the wear-and-tear of his
                    brutish style?
                    Looking forward to this one.
