Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: My Power is Going To Be a Big Problem!

Ryan Garcia has heard and read what Carlos Morales has been saying about him. Morales, Garcia's opponent Saturday night, called Garcia a "goofball" at his open workout Monday and assuredly said the fast-rising 130-pound prospect won't be able to knock him out. The 20-year-old Garcia cannot wait to prove Morales wrong when they meet in a 10-round fight at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California.

No doubt Garcia will add this dude to his resume...
But I'll be honest if Ryan wants to be world class he will eventually need to add another top trainer into his camp. (No disrespect to his current trainer either "Pop's")

The Solution is a solid fighter and a good step-up test for Garcia.

fighting with your chin straight up in the air and pulling straight back is going to be a big problem.

          Agreed 100%.
That's why I feel he (Ryan) needs to make the transition to a top trainer. (Pop's needs to let go of the reigns)

It will be a problem.. for himself.. because he thinks it’s better than it is. overconfidence happens when you knockout weak competition, but what happens when you have an opponent who can take what you dish and has some mean punches of his own and knows how to land them.

Morales will test Ryan even more than Jayson Velez did in my opinion. Carlos isn't great at anything but he's average to a little bit above average in all categories.

Ryan has a lot of potential but this will be a good measuring stick fight for him.

But I agree with everyone in the comment section an established corner man will take this kid to another level or levels.

I think he's as good as he think's he is.

Confidence is great. Why you hating on him for being confident? Anybody that knows anything about Boxing knows your first 15 or so fights are relatively soft touches and try and grab a strap by 20-25. He's 15-0-13, give the kid a break dude he's doing great.

I mean shít, look at Spence's record. 24 wins and like 1 name on it.
