Comments Thread For: Canelo: Golovkin's A Hypocrite; Wouldn't Be There For Mexicans!

Gennady Golovkin's handlers have helped make him more popular among one of boxing's biggest fan bases by touting his "Mexican style." Canelo Alvarez, born and raised in Mexico, doesn't think there's such a thing as a singular style suitable for Mexican fighters. The Mexican icon doesn't consider the connection Kazakhstan's Golovkin has built with Mexican boxing fans to be a genuine bond, either.

In September, every time a Mexican throws a punch
Golovkin will be there to catch it with his face.

You're pretty much saying fight like a one-dimensional zombie,
stop trying to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

I thought Mexicans are warriors who are not running like boring Lara. It seems I was wrong...

Your peaking prime 27-year-old cheater couldn't beat even 36-year-old one-dimensional zombie.

Clenelo: “He’s a hypocrite. You know, maybe he uses it to get him some fans. But he’s a hypocrite. If something tragic were to occur in Mexico, he wouldn’t be there.”

GGG is not saying that he is a fan of Mexicans, he says he is fighting in "Mexican style" which I hate to hear. Phuck the Mexican style !!!

Both sides can point the finger at each claiming Hypocrite. There's too many quotes to care really. Golovkin did donate to earthquake relief & helped raise money last year though & is the WBC ambassador to Mexico after all, was even named their fighter of the year. I think Canelo is just sore not all Mexican fans support him. Understandable actually but a lot has to do with everything he said for a couple years before finally making the fight last September & how that turned out.

Did anyone notice that Canelo didn't take off his shirt today? I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I know he got a new tattoo on his back, one of those inspirational quotes...in English! Found it pretty funny & thought was fitting here.

These nutheads said the same things about Mayweather and it didn't stop him becoming one of the greatest fighters of all time. Just box his ears off and take the knockout as it comes Canelo.
