  • Comments Thread For: Warrington: Beating Frampton & Selby Makes For a Hell of a Year

Unbeaten IBF featherweight czar Josh Warrington looks to mix some media work with a reconnaissance mission on both site and fighter when he sat ringside at Windsor Park, Belfast this past weekend and witnessed home hero Carl Frampton's WBO interim' 9st defence against Aussie Luke Action' Jackson. He can anticipate a lively welcome' from the locals!

You know that Josh Warrington is trash when beating Lee Selby and Carl Frampton in the same year STILL isn't enough to get him ranked above his fellow featherweight champions ; as in WBC champion Gary Russell jr. or WBA champ Leo Santa Cruz.

Whats next? Is Warrington going to claim that hes somehow unified because Carl Fraudton has the 'Interim' WBO featherweight title? Like how Leo Santa Cruz is now the WBC 'Diamond' Champion - but will they fight Gary Russell?!

It's going to be tough, but it would be a brilliant year for him if he could add Frampton's name to Selby's.

I kinda like him now for the purpose Warrington serves - cleaning up the bums over there ; The 'Warden of the North' is how I see him, but I'm with you on the Selby win.

I knew he’d beat Selby. Won some dough on that

Think you probably have to beat the snot out of Warrington to overcome the size, strength, and activity, it’s not even just that though he can obviously judge distance well and all his fights are high contact.

Even Frampton is going to have to go with him and not look always for the opportune time to smash him. Frampton is a stylist and might need to shake that habit.

I’m interested in the odds again. Especially if Warrington gets home advantage. He’s a very emotionally led fighter

Lolol. Yeah you feel the same way I do. Whenever I think back to the Selby fight the phrase “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard” springs to mind.

I’ve been looking forward to selby Frampton for years and this aggy space raider ruins it all

Warrington will probably maul Frampton the same way the Kent

There's a lot of difference between Selby and Frampton. Selby came to town and got man handled by a blown up bantam. He went home and never looked back. Frampton went to war with much better competition. I wouldn't make him p4p, but he's on another level than Selby. Warrington has a chance, but his lack of power is worrisome.
