The Billy Joe Saunders-Deontay Wilder chicken incident is behind them. Saunders told BoxingScene.com that he shook hands with Wilder at Windsor Park on Saturday night, a night after throwing a whole chicken at the WBC heavyweight champion. You don't punk somebody by throwing a chicken at them.
Throwing food at another man, then running? That makes
YOU a punk. BJS not only shook Wilder's hand when the
two were face-to-face backstage at the Fury fight, you
could tell BJS was shook by the blank look on his face.
They shook hands & hugged, but Wilder looked annoyed
and BJS was uncharacteristically quiet, he looked very
uncomfortable, and seemed to be avoiding eye contact.
Afterwards BJS makes jokes that he forced Wilder to pay
for the chicken that he threw at him, which is obviously
bollox. But somehow you think Saunders 'punked' Wilder?

It blows my mind that anybody would consider BJS'
behavior to be befitting of a man who fights for a living.
He has the personality and the balls of 12-year-old class clown.
I have to feel sorry for his young son.
