Comments Thread For: Bryant Jennings: Wilder is Biggest Puncher, Ortiz Best Technician

So in the opinion of heavyweight Bryant Jennings - who faces Alexander Dimitrenko this Saturday night as the headliner on ESPN from the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey - which heavyweight does he fancy as the best in the world, currently?

Ortiz is very dangerous. That's why Dillian Shyte is steering clear of him.

How is that possible that Jennings fought a washed up Wlad 2 years before AJ? Especially when AJ fanboys consider AJs win over Wlad some great feat. I agree with you Wlad was done with that fight, Wlad couldn't stop Jennings and looked gun shy against Fury.

Damn Mr. Jennings, how long did it take you to come up with that? Of course Ortiz is a better technician. Ortiz won a silver medal at the 2005 Boxing World Cup while having a 343–19 amateur record. And he was a long time member of the Cuban National Team before turning pro.

Wilder started boxing at 21 years old and still won a bronze medal in the 2008 Olympics. But he only had an amateur record of 30-5. And he turned pro after fighting for only 2 years as an amateur.

Ortiz clearly has better fundamentals and techniques than Wilder but Wilder has more raw potential hence why that brought in Mark Breland to help with his development.

Dude I was looking forward to seeing how Dillian Whyte would handle Ortiz. I guess Ortiz isn't old enough for him to accept the fight lol he got mad when he heard he had to face Ortiz but when Wilder beat Ortiz he was "OLD" lol

Wlad annihilated Pulev in 5 rounds just 6 months earlier, why wasn't he shot then? Before that he destroyed Leapai in 5, before that he shut out Pedvetkin.

I was looking forward to that fight too.

The winner would be deserving of a title shot against Wilder. It's too bad that Shyte and Eddie Hearn chickened out.

I think these are accurate assessments. No one since Foreman hit like Wilder. Ortiz has the greatest skill.
AJ might be the most balanced.
