Comments Thread For: Canelo: GGG's Power Respectable, But I Showed I Can Take It

Canelo Alvarez doesn't deny that Gennady Golovkin can punch. Alvarez just doesn't consider the pulverizing power Golovkin has utilized to decimate Vanes Martirosyan and so many other opponents to be anything he hadn't experienced prior to their debatable draw last September 16 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Mexico's Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) wasn't noticeably hurt during their 12-round fight 11 months ago and isn't overly concerned about Golovkin's vaunted power as their rematch nears.

..Canelo can handle GGG’s power if he goes backwards the whole time and lets himself get outlanded.

****ing villain I hope GGG gets him.

I still don't know if Canelo can handle the full brunt of GGG's power because I don't think GGG landed a flush power shot to the chin in the first fight. Canelo did an excellent job of avoiding them. That said, he probably wont have to and will be a liitle more assertive for this one. I got Canelo by relatively comfortable UD.

164 is a catchweight. not a division. lilg couldn't beat a guy making his debut at MW. sad.
