Valdez needs to work on his defense ASAP. He won't last long with all these slug fests. Even against B and C class opponents he is taking a ton of abuse. Linking up with Canelo's trainers to try and get a more defensive minded trainer in there is not the worst thing.

You beat me to what I was thinking I agree 100%. I know Manny when I use to train my nephew one thing I can say about him is he is one hell of a hand wrap guy. He wraps hands very good but he doesn't teach defense nor does Robert Garcia

Correct me if I am wrong but I think every Espinoza fighters has now left Manny Robles. Prospects, contenders, and now a champion.

This is a big chance for the Reynosos to prove that they can handle more than one champion.

Love him or hate him Canelo has improved over the years. His defense, counter punching, combination punching are among the best.

Hopefully Oscar comes back against a soft touch before unifying the titles.

A excellent move by Oscar Valdez : Little 'Chepo' Reynoso has the blueprint to beat Oscars mandatory Carl Fraudton, I remember how Horacio Garcia made midget Frauton look foolish last year with the aid of little 'Chapo' Reynoso, still brings me a good laugh.

Carl Fraudton might just have a change of plans and fight that euro-bum Josh Warrington instead.
