Comments Thread For: Frankie Gavin Insists He Can Fulfill His Early Career Promise

Birmingham's Frankie Gavin (25-3, 15 KOs) is under no illusions going into his November 17 challenge to European welterweight champion Kerman Lejarraga (25-0, 20 early). The former British and Commonwealth titlist admits that his career is on the line and it will be a long way back if he fails to dethrone the 26-year-old away from home, they meet at the Bizkaia Arena in Bilbao, where Lejarraga hammered Bradley Skeete to defeat in two in April.

Hopefully he's gotten himself away from BWI promotions. A pair of coke dealing brothers playing at promoting isn't ideal when you're trying to resurrect your career.

The Basque/Spanish guy Frankie is fighting is pretty good. He's a Golovkin-type stalker but obviously not as good but he really ****s on both sides. Definitely see Frankie getting stopped by the guy. Skeete couldn't handle his power.

Gavin proves that a good amateur does not guarantee success as a pro.

He is unprofessional (bad attitude to training in/out of camp), badly managed and promoted, terrible style and walks about with a face like someone took a **** in his chips.

If I never watch 'Funtime Wanky' box again, it will be too soon.
