According to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research, Munguia's first title defense drew a peak audience of 827,000 viewers on Saturday night for HBO. An average of 777,000 viewers watched Munguia defeat England's Liam Smith by unanimous decision in their 12-round, 154-pound title fight at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Not a huge fan of this guy after seeing that he's basically just a weight bully, but regardless of what I think his numbers are pretty impressive for a guy who's more or less still a rookie. He can be a star if he keeps up his success, but I'm not sure if he will when he inevitably has to move up to middleweight.
