Comments Thread For: Liam Smith: Munguia Not Ready For Canelo Or Anyone Like That

Jaime Munguia would love nothing more than to challenge Canelo Alvarez in the near future. Liam Smith would advise against the ambitious Munguia embracing a showdown with his fellow Mexican. Smith's two losses have come against Munguia and Alvarez, which makes him more qualified than any fighter to assess an Alvarez-Munguia match.

Well we don't know because Liam possibly fought an illegally enhanced version of Canelo since we know for a fact that Canelo declined vada testing, stating it was, "too late". Munguia puts good pressure on and doesn't seem to fade much. Canelo historically has shown a tendency to fade in the later rounds.

He really has to work on that defense! No way he beats Charlo or Hurd fighting like that! And he’s sure as hell not ready for GGG or Canelo.

We all saw Mungo eating right hands like popcorn. Liam showed where he's at, B class with a chance of improvement due to age. He's a big JM with good stamina and no defense. He either gets better or he gets beat.

So he’s not ready for Canella GGG or Charlo etc but he beat and dropped you at your age what does that say about you? That was last title shot I think
