  • Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: Not Overlooking Easter; Just Answering Questions

The feeling within Robert Easter Jr.'s camp is that Mikey Garcia is looking past the unbeaten IBF lightweight champion. Garcia has openly discussed possible future fights against lightweight champ Vasiliy Lomachenko and welterweight champions Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford during the buildup toward his lightweight title unification fight versus Easter. According to Garcia, that doesn't mean he isn't taking Easter seriously.

He is overlooking Easter and how can you blame him? I've never seen Easter win a decision that wasn't suspect. Dude is garbage, Fortuna beat his ass.

This going to end like the Sergio M. knockout of P. Williams . Counter right hand Easter won't see that will have face first on the canvas . Easter doesn't use his height and reach which is the most akward thing cause it's his only advantage . Either he likes to fight small or doesn't have the discipline to fight on the outside . Strange as hell cause he could double triple jab followed by the right hand all night but chooses not to .

Mikey's C game is probably better than Easter's A game

Do you even watch boxing??? Rigo?!? Rigo is 122 idiot. Rigo ain't moving up to 135. As for Linares, him and Mikey had an agreement, and a mandatory to fight after Mikey beat Lipinets. Linares straight backed out. Linares ducked him to face Lomachenko. That isn't an opinion, that is a fact.

He woulda fought Cotto. The same as Spence and a few others would have. But he wasn't signing his career away to ODLH. Which was a good decision. He has said he wants Loma, but Arum has already said the earliest he would consider letting Loma fight him is next year. And for Spence, if Mikey beats Easter, he will most likely fight Spence next.

Mikey moved up in weight to fight the only champion at 140. With an agreement in place to fight Linares next. Linares wouldn't fight Mikey. Linares excuse was he would only fight on hbo. Remember what channel Linares fought Loma on???

Pay some attention to boxing. With posts like that, you only prove you are a CLOWN. And a

Mikey is just answering questions, but by doing so, he is overlooking Easter. Which is hard to blame him, if he has watched any of Easter's fights.

Still, he is thinking and planning his future after a victory against Easter. Most top fighters would answer those questions with "All I'm concerned with right now is my next fight, which is Easter." If it is because of the media or not, doesn't change the fact that he is overlooking Easter. The media leads him to take a win over Easter for granted, but he allows them to.

Here is the thing everyone needs to realize, Mikey saying he wants to fight Spence and Lima Crawford and others is just his way of keeping his name in the media, he has no real intention of fighting them so he couldn’t be overlooking opponents unless he actually had intentions of fighting them. One minute he’s saying he’s at a disadvantage at 140, next minute he says he wants to fight Spence, next he’s fighting a guy named zlaticanin and someone looking like a starving crackhead who can’t punch. Mikey only fights when he knows he can win, especially since he left top rank
