Comments Thread For: Alexey Egorov Stops Lateef Kayode in Six Rounds

Cruiserweight Alexey Egorov notched the biggest win of his career thus far on paper Friday night, stopping Lateef Kayode after the sixth round at the Florentine Gardens in El Monte, California. Both fighters had their moments early in the competitive fight, but Egorov was sharper and his punches began to take their toll on Kayode, who appeared discombobulated during rounds four and five from the punches he was receiving.

After Luis Ortiz knocked out Kayode, he's never been the same. Clearly he's a shot fighter with no future in this sport. Sad but this is boxing.

Kayode needs to quit while he's got the remaining of his bashed up senses functioning

Even if Kayode is not the fighter he once was, stopping him in your 6th pro fight is impressive. I'll be following Egorov closely

it's a shame because Ortiz failed a drug test after that fight

Kayode was slow as paint drying on a winter day and that was before he was shot. Just a slow, ponderous, lumbering oaf with bad balance.

Even when Kayode is 'normal', he isn't normal. Just a very strange person and strange fighting style. A style which doesn't seem to be working anyway.
