  • Comments Thread For: Nathan Gorman: I'm The One To Beat Daniel Dubois!

NATHAN GORMAN INSISTS he is the man with a plan to dampen dynamite and inflict a first professional defeat on Daniel Dubois. The relatively brand new heavies appear to be on an eventual collision course following their explosive exploits in the ring since turning professional. Gorman has the edge on experience, with him clocking up 13 wins 11 via KO since making his debut in December 2015. The Nantwich man has gathered two belts since departing the amateur code and the Team GB squad, winning the Central Area title in his sixth fight and the WBC Silver International title in his 11th.

Appear to be on an eventual collision course? They're Frank Warren fighters... he isn't going to allow that fight to happen and has already said as much.

It would be interesting to see how long these two's contracts with FW are.

What makes you think that? Frank is known for facing his fighters off in the same division. He's done it for Smith/Williams recently, is setting Warrington/Frampton up, Davies/Catterall etc his whole game is to set up Britihs fights with his own stable right now..... Dubois and Gorman will happen, just not until Dubois is 21 and can fight for the British.... don't be surprised if they end up fighting for the vacant title this September.

Warren himself stated that he has no plans to put Gorman and Dubois together anytime soon. Plus Dubois has hype so there's no way Warren will do anything to jeopardise that. I fully expect Dubois will go the Yarde route of facing bum after bum to manufacture a high ranking and then title shot.

When and where? I seen Frank in an interview a month ago saying that it needs to be for the British when Dubois is 21...... if Warren said that 4/5 fights ago I get it, "any time soon" could mean not in the next 6 months, but Dubois is 21 in September, and if Fury vacates then Dubois and Gorman will be ordered to fight no doubt..... Dubois is the English champion.

"I wouldn't do it this year. I wouldn't do it in the next year," he revealed.
"That's about building that fight into a monster fight and those guys will get a big payday. It'd be a meaningful fight if we did it tomorrow but by then it'll be a crucial meaningful fight, it'll be a career fight.
So Warren himself has said that he's not putting Gorman and Dubois together until 2020.

Maybe he's changed his tune now, but that's what he said less than 2 months ago.

Damn, I missed that. He said he wouldn't do it in the next year, from June, so hopefully that will happen by June next year.... not 2020.

I'm ****ing sick of this ****, Dubois and Gorman have an opportunity to fight for the British soon..... we'll have to wait and see what the British board do once Fury vacates. Dubois might fight for it, then defend against Gorman next year, or vice-versa?

Good call, but has Hughie vacated yet? + Joe Joyce must be in the equation somewhere!

On the BBBOFC website Fury is the champion, but that changes month-to-month.

                    http://bbbofc.com/content/national-titles

He will likely vacate before the month is out if he doesn't defend.

Joe Joyce is right in there as well as the commonwealth champion, Dubois is the English champion..... It's hard to find British rankings and what the order is regarding the title. I'd imagine Dubois, Gorman, Joyce are contenders for the title once it's vacated.
