  • Comments Thread For: Hearn on Bellew's Options: Fury, Adonis Stevenson, Andre Ward

Eddie Hearn, promoter for Tony Bellew (30-2-1, 20 KOs), says his boxer has a three man shortlist of potential opponents for his next fight. But that shortlist does not include the winner of today's World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament - as undefeated world champions Murat Gassiev and Oleksrandr Usyk battle for the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF world titles.

[about the Usyk-Gassiev winner]," Hearn said to Sky Sports. "I don't think the money is there for that fight [against either guy]. He wants those fights, but it's my job as well to say 'That's a very, very dangerous fight. I'm not letting you take that fight for a third of what you got against David Haye.'"

Bellew isn't in it for titles or glory at this stage, he simply wants to make as much money for as little a risk as possible. I think he might wait for the Fury fight.

        This is the formula

Because Bellew was overpaid for haye everything else has to match up to it financially 🤔

As a promoter with bellew at his peak Hearn is showing how shïte he actually is.

#1 Fury ..who hearn admits is ages away

#2 Ward ..who hearn acknowledges is retired

        🙄

          - bt sport dont want it to be bellew and fury knows he isnt ready

Still believe Stevenson catches him again
            Just wrong style for Bellew
Plus he’s gotta drop the weight which at his age will hurt him
He’s better off chasing Haye or should I say enticing Haye for a third and mucho mucho denaro for both
Ward ain’t coming out of retirement for pésos

Ward be on those PED’s because he retired right ? Not because he had to make multiple title defences against guys he was never making the same bank against like he did his last two fights right ?

Hearn completely acknowledges who Bellew will and won’t fight and for what reasons yet that doesn’t apply to Ward because you simply don’t like him and want him to be a drug cheat just like your hero Manny PED-man.

The butt hurt runs deep here.

Bellew should avoid Usyk like Brook should have avoided Spence and I going back to complete strangers apartments hoping to get a savage buggering instead of a savage beating.

Bellew only recently said that the 1st Haye fight sorted him out for life, so the 2nd haye fight must've just been a nice bonus. He can't now use the line "It's not worth it financially to fight Gassiev/Usyk".
What about honour Tony? Isn't that an option for the man who character assassinates everyone else?

It's you're job to PROMOTE the fight! How hard can it be to promote a fight to become the Unified Cruiserweight Champion of the World? Especially when both Gassiev and Usyk know that the money is better in the UK!

After Usyk-Gassiev, Fast Eddie will try to use Bellew's standing as WBC Emeritus Champion to pry that belt away so Bellew can fight for the vacant title vs. Ward.
