I like both fighters and following them both for long time. Real gentleman and true warriors. It's hard to pick this one but I would go with Gassiev by late rounds tko

I got Usyk by late stoppage. And here is why : Gassiev never faced an elite level opponent in his prime before who is highly skilled and fights at a high pace and workrate all 12 rounds + who constantly moves with a very good footwork. Gassiev was only effective against static opponents but in this case Gassiev will be the slow & static opponent who can't compete with Usyk at such a high pace. Go watch all Gassiev fights and you will notice that he takes many breaks in rounds while Usyk only increases the pace from Round 4. Usyk can easily outbox Gassiev from the outside while the small Lebedev needed to go to mid range to land on Gassiev because much shorter with shorter reach. Also 37 year old Lebedev was already past his prime.

Also remember it was Briedis´s pace, workrate & skills which gave Usyk trouble. Gassiev on the other hand is slow & less skilled. He will only rely on his body attack and hope to land a liver shot. Even Abel Sanchez hinted that they want to stop Usyk with a body shot because other than that he is getting outboxed.

Good analysis however aren't You forgetting Dorticos? It was prime fighter, 12 rounds and high pace. Maybe not so skillful but otherwise helluva fighter. Also I saw quite rich skill set by Gassiev in this fight.

As I said it's hard to pick and it could easily end like You are predicting. What I am thinking about is that we all saw limits of Usyk in Briedis fight, but have we seen Gassiev anywhere close his limits? I have this strange feeling that we have seen just some 85% of Gassiev and we will see 100% in Usyk bout as well as in heavyweights

No I didnt forget Dorticos who isn't as skilled as Usyk and Dorticos stood infront of Gassiev the whole fight. Plus he threw the whole fight always the same damn combination. Dorticos has no footwork and doesn't fight a high pace.

Ok .. only one thing is for sure - it will end up with first loss for one of these great fighters which is almost hard to believe and therefore makes this really great fight.. unless there is injury and Briedis gets the trophy
