Comments Thread For: Ricky Hatton Gives His Take on Tyson Fury vs. Tony Bellew

BOXING legend Ricky Hatton reckons Tyson Fury vs Tony Bellew in ON. The Gypsy King made his comeback against Sefer Seferi last month following a 32-month absence after beating Wladimir Klitchsko in 2015. Bellew, meanwhile, battered David Haye for the second time in May.

Bellew said he woudn't fight Wilder because of his reach, so why would he even consider Tyson Fury? Bellew will get slapped all over the place if this fight happens!

Fury and Bellew had a real beef going at one time, but it ended a while ago and they are friends now.

This new "beef" they have now is fake, for publicity only, imo. If they fight each other it will be a money grab for both. Fury will see it as a chance to get some rounds in and will be happy to use his reach and size to jab Bellew silly at long range then smother him up close.

Fury gets a work out and another win, this time on points. Bellew loses nothing really, because no-one would expect him to be able to beat a man as big as Fury, and they both get a good payday.

true. Guys care less about their record once they have an L on it. Bellew has 2, one being a KO so he really doesn't have anything to lose on his record at least.

Agreed, with Fury’s ring rust and still being very overweight, I think he can make The Gypsy King gas out just before the championship rounds ..... then go in for the kill.

When a guy like Bellew can make millions of dollar in boxing, then you know there is something seriously wrong with the business in general... and in Britain in particular.

You said it yourself, he gets slapped. It's not wilder's reach but his punch that Bellew is steering clear of.

He's looking for high reward, low risk paydays to finish off his career. Fury would be a big stadium fight with Ppv revenue and he's not a massive puncher either. Get him now before he's shaken all the ring rust and he has a chance, at least enough to sell the fight.

Sadly that's true. Bellew hasn't had a credible win since he won the WBC Cruiser belt of that Makubu, and then he did a bolt from the far better fighters in that division. His wins against a TOTALLY finished Haye mean absolutely nothing to me. Funnily enough, Bellew makes quite a good co-commentator but he'll still yap his way into fights that he doesn't really deserve. It's fcked up.
