Comments Thread For: Hosea Burton: Anthony Yarde Is Useless, I'd Knock Him Out

Hosea Burton has attacked Anthony Yarde after the latter's latest win. The former British light-heavyweight champion took to social media to pass comment on the 25-year-old Ilford man after he kept up his unbeaten record. Yarde took out Polish southpaw Dariusz Sek inside seven rounds at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation, to retain his WBO European and Inter-Continental belts.

As long as Yarde immediately goes on to fight the domestic challengers I don't think his career progression has been too much of a problem because I can see clear improvement. He's more than ready for Burton now though, then there is Buglionne, Callum Johnson and Joshua Buatsi. In 5 or 6 fights he should be aiming to show that he's the best in Britain and then go on to world level.

At this stage I think Johnson and Buatsi beat Yarde. I think he'd match up favourably to Marcus Browne, but I've only seen 2 or 3 of Browne's fights

He beats Burton convincingly in my opinion but the first time he fights a good LHW who can take a shot and give it back he might struggle.

Sek isn't even that much worse than Burton, imo.
No other fighter even Eubank who was hyped at least fought somebody who is remotely decent, Yarde is going the WBO European route which means he is a fraud.

He has turned down world title fights yet thinks he should not be rushed.

By 2022 he might fight a undefeated oppoenent we have heard of absolute disgrace

Yarde would probably beat him, but he won't go near him

Burton vs Buglioni 2 would be good. The first was epic.

So Hosea Burton is **** according to some in here...but was in the ascendancy against buglioni with barely any time left in the 12th before getting stopped.

I don't see how in the minds of some yarde bullies Burton but buglioni gives yarde more difficulty. They both have a higher technical celling than yarde and in all honesty right now.. buatsi..Johnson..buglioni and Burton beat him.

There's a reason Frank Warren wants Hearn to play a little mini LHW matchroom tournament and let yarde have the winner.

He should just let yarde fight Burton.. then buglioni then buatsi and then Johnson and if yarde is what he says he is.. it's an easy 350/400k or so for his fighter.

Nothing wrong with turning down a world title shot against arguably the best and most experienced lhw champion at this point in his career. However his level of opposition has been embarrassing and he should be fighting the likes of Burton.

The level of competition they face makes me believe that Burton could beat him
