Cuban welterweight contender Yordenis Ugas is hoping to secure his mandatory world title shot at current IBF king Errol Spence (24-0, 21 KOs). Both fighters were in action on Saturday night in Frisco, Texas. In a non-televised undercard fight, Ugas (22-3, 11 KOs) scored four knockdowns of his amateur rival Jonathan Batista for a dominant stoppage win in the second round. In the main event of the same card, Spence demolished mandatory challenger Carlo Ocampo in the first round.

But I think Ugas is better than Matthysse and likely Manny at this point. He would give Vargas all he could handle too. I might actually favor Ugas in that fight. I'd need to think on it a bit.

This guy should have fought Spence. These mis-match Haymon fights are a joke this Ocampo fight is like if Mike Tyson made a title defense agnist Butter Bean back in the 80's or 90's no one would have stood for such a joke fight
