  • Comments Thread For: Joshua Says Wilder Must Be "Realistic" in Unification Deal

According to IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs), he is not frustrated as the negotiations to make a deal with WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) continue to drag out. Joshua is going to return to the ring in September.

He’s making a fair point, everyone will always ask ‘who next’, no one is asking who next for Wilder because his alt to AJ is Brezeale, which is a big gap in quality. Wilder or Povetkin not much of a gap in quality if any.

          >Says he's willing to fight in the UK for less money, declining 50 million guarantee and 50/50 split past $100 million revenue.

AJ should just keep to letting his Papi Hearn speak for him and try and spin the narrative

40% of what? Hearn isn't above a side deal. Low bid and pay AJ a bonus later.50 million is the bid. What can be more reasonable? 50 million, 40 pounds, and 3X the champion. What is AJ blathering about?

Hearn told AJ to take a fight for $31 mil dollars less than he would've earned at the minimum against Wilder. But ya'll really telling me this guy wants the fight?

Can someone tell AJ that's how boxing works. You beat one person, you fight the next. It's always been like this, it gets more demanding, especially after you declare yourself the king of a division. What a funny thing to say.
